Boyles Ministry Newsletter

February 2008

Dear friends and family,

February has been a lot of fun for us.  Philippians 4:4 says “Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, rejoice.”  God wants us to rejoice, have fun, praise Him, live for Him.  This month, we have had fun in the Lord and enjoyed our time with Him.

I have said it before, but it is wonderful to be here and watch God work through people.

There is a great deal of money going into the new property.  $4000US was donated for the well to be dug at the property and another $10,000US was donated for the electricity to be run to the new facilities.  God is blessing this project beyond measure.

The first two teams to come to work on the new camp were amazing.  In two weeks, they poured the foundations for the first three buildings and completed the walls on the dorm.  They almost finished the walls of the caretaker’s house.  Wow!  Thank you to the teams from Alabama who raised the money and took the time to come down to work!

The next team will be Judy and Rick Barnette’s team from Tennessee.  The team will be split into two groups.  The construction team will be building the walls to the dining hall.  The rest of the team will be working with the children in San Juan and Garage Villages.  This team had 2,000 books donated to give out to the children in these villages!

Jeff had a great time with the youth in San Juan this month.  They had a Valentine’s Party and invited all of the youth in the village.  They had a wonderful turnout and had a very good time.  We were also blessed to have the opportunity to take Jocelyn and Ricardo, two of the most involved youth, to YC Belize.  This is a nationwide youth conference in Belize City.  We enjoyed a lot of good music and fantastic speakers.

The ladies in my English class have been improving and doing quite well.  I invited them to dinner…the catch – solo inglés, no español!  (only English, no Spanish!)  This made for very interesting dinner conversation.  It was a lot of fun for me to watch them trying to order.   They were good sports and I hope to do it again.

I cannot leave out Ann Marie.  One of the ladies in the village gave her two chickens and Jeff built a pen for them.  She has been very good about feeding them and putting them up at night.  There was one little incident when she dunked them in a bucket of water, but they survived!  Jeff also fixed Ann Marie a sandbox.  This has become a hit with Ann Marie and all of her friends!  We stumbled upon a celebration for the 50th Anniversary of the Mennonites living in Spanish Lookout.  They had lots of fun things for the children including crafts and a petting zoo.  What more could a little girl ask for?

I trust you are having a good 2008.  I hope you have a Happy March!

In Christ,

Jeff, Tiffany, and Ann Marie
