Boyles Ministry Newsletter

September 2007

Dear friends and family,

San Juan’s new preschool started Tuesday September 11th.  Jeff and crew worked many, many hours to get the building ready to start having class.  Thanks to their hard work and dedication and all of the donations from you, the preschool is wonderful!  Already I can see it is making a difference in the lives of the children attending.  Most of the children do not own a book, they have few toys, and they would not have had the opportunity to play with Play dough, paint, or glue.  The biggest influence will be the exposure to the English language at an earlier age.  I truly believe this will make a difference in their long term education.

Mr. Fabian Cayetano is the Stann Creek District Regional Manager for the National Council for Education.  He visited the preschool on Monday and deemed San Juan’s Preschool #1 in the area.  He would like to use our preschool as an example for all other preschools in the area.  We are overjoyed by this honor.

Ann Marie and I left Belize the first week of September because of Hurricane Felix.  We went to Wisconsin to stay with my mom (Ann Marie’s Dot Dot).  It was an unexpected trip, but we had a great time.  We were very glad to get to see her.  While we were there, we went to a movie, Chuck E Cheese, a petting zoo, and a water park.  Ann Marie enjoyed our stay very much!

The church we attend in Independence (Mount Zion Baptist Church) held pastor elections on September 9, 2007 and elected Alfred Ramsey as our new pastor.  We are delighted to welcome Pastor Ramsey, his wife Valerie, and their daughter Aryn.  The church added a new member by baptism Ms. Mirva.  We are excited to see God working in our church.

On September 16, 2007 San Juan Baptist Church welcomed four new members by baptism – Dioni, Tanya, James, and Ricardo.  Jeff felt honored to be asked to baptize all four.  Ricardo, James, and Tanya accepted Christ while Bro. Gary William’s team was here in June and have been counseling with Pastor Aguire since that time.   They have now followed through with their baptism.  We praise God for allowing us to be a part of what He is doing in Belize!

Belize celebrated Independence Day on September 21st.  Belize is a very young country; it acquired independence only 26 years ago.  We enjoyed being in several parades.
